Art & Sewing Sessions
Back by Demand!
We are running this project for 12 months! During our social event in March and June 2023 we will hold a fashion show or an exhibition to display the wonderful art and sewing crafts that has been created by the service users.
Every Friday: 9.30 -12pm
This project has been brought back and funded by the Award For All!
The feedback from our service users who attended our Summer Club for Women and their Children expressed they wanted to develop a skill in sewing and art! PARCA wanted to bring back these session during our Breakfast Club on Friday mornings. These are learning skills which will help those who want to learn how to stitch simple products like a recycled pillow case, or upcycle their old clothing. Not only the service users are developing knowledge they are building confidence.
As this project is a group project, many people will be able to practise their English Language skill as well as combatting isolation and loneliness which they may have developed during the period of Covid-19 lockdowns.
This is free for anyone to participate including Asylum Seekers, Refugees and residents in the local Community.
When: Every Friday during Breakfast Club
Time: 9:30am to 11:30am
Where: PARCA, Unity Hall, Northfield Rd, Peterborough, PE1 3QH
